To celebrate World Car Free Day on 22 September and to coincide with #CTBM, Bus Users joined forces with First Bus as it launched new research to show UK attitudes towards sustainable transport Read more

We couldn't let our first #CTBM pass without mentioning the incredible efforts of the Somerset Bus Partnership who ran events, campaigned against bus cuts and highlighted the vital importance of buses to the people of Somerset Read more

Go! Go! Go!

Go North East flew the flag for the environmental benefits of bus travel by launching its new fleet of Voltra electric buses at the start of #CTBM - a step closer to its target of net zero by 2035!  Read more

Mis Dal Y Bws

For #CTBM in Wales we joined one of the oldest operators to celebrate 120 years on the road, we talked buses in Barry and we supported a small group of volunteers aiming big to protect local buses  Read more

#CTBM Scotland

Bus Users team in Scotland hit the universities during #CTBM to highlight the country's free travel scheme for the under 22s, as well as taking to the streets to promote the wider benefits of travelling by bus Read more

Unsung heroes

Small operators and community transport providers are the lifeblood of local communities and played a huge part in making #CTBM such a success. There are far too many to mention here but thank you to you all! 

Homage to the bus

International artist Cassandra Harrison @geehowquaint produced a series of beautiful bus-related sketches for Catch the Bus Month in celebration of her local bus services run by Lothian Buses  See more

Warm welcome

Baroness Vere, recently reappointed to the DfT, enthusiastically welcomed #CTBM as a way to "showcase the amazing power of buses in getting people around, unlocking economic opportunities and decarbonising travel"  Read more

Caught on camera

Transport North East kicked off #CTBM by bringing together operators, the Confederation of Passenger Transport and Bus Users in a video highlighting the need to get more of us on board  Watch the video

Single-handed

Hats off to Caroline Wilson of Intuitive Talent Solutions who didn't miss a chance to give #CTBM a big hand and lead by example, ditching her car and switching to the bus wherever she could  Read more

Victoria Garcia paid tribute to the operators, local authorities and charities who came together to share their knowledge, expertise and enthusiasm with the people of Brighton for #CTBM Read more

Without limits

Wiltshire was one council that took the opportunity during #CTBM to remove all limits on concessionary bus passes meaning eligible holders can now travel for free, all day and every day until 31 March 2023 Read more

Fairer fares

In a timely announcement to coincide with #CTBM, Government announced a 3 month £2 per journey bus fare cap in England to help passengers with transport costs and encourage greener travel  Read more
