The reception is always a highlight of the sector calendar and a fantastic opportunity to celebrate Dawsongroup’s continued support for Catch the Bus Month. It brings together a broad cross-section of organisations from across the bus and coach industry, from operators large and small, to solicitors, trade organisations and industry bodies.
Bus Users UK Chief Executive, Lydia Horbury:
Events like this are a powerful reminder of the importance of collaboration. While organisations and individuals may have different roles and perspectives, there is a shared ambition to make public transport work better for the people who rely on it. Working together and sharing expertise will be increasingly important as the sector tackles the challenges ahead and makes the case for the vital role buses play in our communities.
The evening also provided an opportunity to remember two much-loved figures from the sector, Lord Snape and John Taylor. Beautiful eulogies reflected on their significant contributions and the lasting impact they will have on bus and coach travel.
Lydia added: “It was an evening of conversation, connection and collaboration, and a timely reminder that when the bus and coach sector comes together, it has a powerful voice.”
