Speakers announced for Sustainable Transport Alliance COP26 “People Make Transport” event

We’re happy to announce the speaker line-up for our upcoming panel discussion at COP26. Tickets are currently sold out but the event can be livestreamed here

The event, sponsored by Transport Scotland and the Go-Ahead Group, will be chaired by Sustrans CEO Xavier Brice, with an opening presentation by Richard Dilks of CoMoUK, showing practical examples of communities achieving climate-safe, inclusive and healthy transport.

Afterwards we’ll have a response from Patrick Harvie MSP, Minister for Zero Carbon Buildings, Active Travel and Tenants’ Rights, followed by a panel discussion.

The panel will feature Cllr Anna Richardson, City Convenor for Sustainability and Carbon Reduction sharing what’s been achieved by communities in partnership with local government in Glasgow; Martin Dean from Go-Ahead Group on how transport providers can work with communities effectively; Jools Townsend of Community Rail Network on building trust and making change last; and Professor Greg Marsden with how changes to ground transport fit in with the bigger picture of net zero goals.
