Bus Users investigation leads to fine for ‘unreliable’ First Cymru

An investigation by a Bus Users Compliance Officer, Michael Anderson, has resulted in a £20,600 fine for First Cymru for running unreliable buses.

The fine was issued at a public inquiry after formal warnings from the Traffic Commissioner for Wales, and monitoring by Bus Users, and reflected the company’s failure to meet the needs of its customers.

According to Wales Online, the operator has apologised for the service and said it is ‘committed to improving its reliability and punctuality.’
