Make a difference

There are lots of small ways you can make a positive change to public transport in your community

Find out more

Buses are good for us, good for our communities and good for society

One full, double-decker bus can take up to 75 cars off the road. That’s less congestion and cleaner air for all of us.

Find out what you can do to improve services and get even more people on board.

And don’t forget to support Catch the Bus Month!

Use it or lose it

Buses are a lifeline – they connect us and provide access to life’s opportunities through education, training and work.

They also boost the economy, reduce congestion and pollution and improve our health and wellbeing.

So get on board and support your local services because if you don’t, you may lose them for good.

Try it out

Use your local bus and try a new route every so often, so you can see how it compares to other ways of getting about.

Young children love travelling by bus so have a family day out using your local bus or coach service. It’s often cheaper and less frustrating than going by car – and you don’t have to find and pay for a parking space!

Speak up

We want to hear about your experiences, good or bad. So get in touch and tell us about any bus or coach operators who deserve a mention.

If you’ve had a great journey, tell the operator and tell us. You’ll make their day and encourage better services.

Let your local bus company know how you think their services could be improved.

Get involved

Keep an eye on our events page and if there isn’t an event scheduled in your area, get in touch and suggest it.

Find out if you have a local bus users group or bus passenger panel and if you haven’t, try setting one up.

If your local bus stop is run down and in need of repair, find out from your bus company who is responsible for it. You could even give them a hand with the improvements.
