Bus Users celebrates UK Bus Awards

This year’s UK Bus Awards have been announced with Nottingham City Transport awarded Operator of the Year, Ensignbus taking Independent Operator and Reading Buses winning Top Shire Operator for the third year running.

Bus Users Chief Executive, Claire Walters, has congratulated everyone who participated in this year’s Awards: “It’s been a fantastic celebration of the service buses give to passengers across the UK, including all the behind-the-scenes staff and volunteers who make everything run so smoothly so much of the time.

“We were particularly pleased to see a special award given to Ben Colson, formerly of Norfolk Green Buses for his services to the industry and championing the need for excellent rural bus provision. We were also extremely proud to have the efforts of Bus Users UK, in mystery travel and judging support, given a special mention. We look forward to the 20th UK Bus Awards next year.”
